The effect of temperature on the charging and discharging characteristics of lithium-ion batteries
Doleželová, Eva ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Libich, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with operation principles of lithium-ion batteries, its degradation principles, capacity fade, materials used, formats, main characteristics, development, uses and mid to high temperature behaviour. The thesis aims to study aging characteristics of commercially available lithium-ion batteries. In the practical part of the thesis, the key parameters of selected types of commercially available lithium-ion batteries were measured under normal temperature conditions. The measurement was repeated at an elevated temperature. Results were analysed and effects of different temperatures on the selected characteristics were concluded both verbally and graphically. A conclusion evaluates short-term and long-term impacts of ambient temperature on rate capability, ageing, capacity fade and longevity.

Effect of the pressure used in the manufacture of the electrodes on their final properties
Foltová, Anežka ; Tichý, Jiří (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this work is to describe final properties of the electrodes based on the amount of pressure used during its production. In the theoretical part of this work, secondary electrochemical accumulators are described, with the focus on Li-ion accumulators. In the main part of this work, the production of Li-ion accumulators, with usage of different pressures during its production is described. In the final part of this work, the examination of these created cells for the classification of the optimal production pressure is described.

Comparison of integrated circuits for management of single cell Li-ion battery
Novák, Štěpán ; Burian, František (referee) ; Kunz, Jan (advisor)
Lithium-ion batteries are now widely used as power sources for mobile devices, electric vehicles, consumer electronics and other applications. For proper operation and extended service life of Li-ion batteries, it is important that the parameters specified by the manufacturer are met. This is ensured by means of appropriate circuits, the accuracy of which is the focus of this paper. This work provides an overview and comparison of different types of circuits for Li-ion battery management and charging and explains the basic principles of their operation.
